Why was the Intersex Society of Zambia formed?

The premise of finding the spaces for co-existence between intersex persons and the general community is belittled

due to many perpetual factors. Lack of awareness stands at the top. This is because without adequte awareness people are not able to encounter the required humane behaviour.

From experience, people generally tend to mishandle experiences that are unfamiliar. Much worse, the Zambian society has yet to learn respecting and acknowledging people who are born different without necessarily requiring a convincing explainantion from them.

We are all human beings. We are all citizens of Zambia. No one really needs any special qualifications for them to enjoy their rights including basic respect and dignity as a human beinggs.
